Armor

Armor is what protects the people who protect the republic. Whether it be a scrap of leather across your chest or the best squamata out there, there is a good chance you'll need it at some point.

Variations may exist of each armor type listed below. For example, some bronze helmets have neck protection while others do not. To see what a piece of armor covers and how well it protects use the INSPECT command.

Armor protections range from no protection to excellent as follows:

Would it be possible to request a list of possible helmet/option combinations, as this question keeps being posed to staff and in Discord? Danke. :)

Note appended by Analog on 3:21 pm, Wednesday, October 21, 2020:

We have nearly 100 helmet variations in our catalog, so, I cannot provide you with an exhaustive list. However, here is a list of helmets that people would typically request as a custom item. You are welcome to share this list, as long as you include the notes below.

Some of these can be purchased at in-game shops (some require reputation), some cannot. Some of these in shops will have neckguards, some will not — but, all custom metal helmets with faceplates/coverings (including hidden and caged) will come with a neckguard.

Specifics on weight and protection levels can be sought out in game.

The list below is what we have as of today, and, is subject to change.
