Jageris was born in the Quartz Heights to Vitus and Domitia Aurilius. The family
business, Stella Celer, is an international maritime shipping company. Jageris
spent his early life almost exclusively with his mother. At 8, Jageris began
accompanying his father on voyages up and down the Invex River. At 12,
he was allowed to sail on the international voyages on the open seas.
Jageris had many tutors growing up, educating him in various aspects
of art, science, culture and mathematics. The tutors would sail along
with the crew and instruct Jageris in the evenings. Jageris developed an
admiration of the gladius, specifically the Avros style. He saw his father
use it effectively against many a pirate attacks and desired to emulate him.
Around the time Jageris turned 19, he decided he wanted to try and make his
own way in the world. His parents supported the endeavor and set him off with
a few talents to get started. They told him then when the time came, the
business would be his, but for now to go and make his own path
in the world. Jageris still returns and captains his father’s ships from time
to time, but he is generally not needed. Stella Celer is a family business,
with aunts, uncles and cousins all working as crewmen and office workers.
Vitus and Domitia’s strong sense of family has kept the entire extended family
together in life, each helping to grow the business as much as they can.
Jageris is an odd mix of his father’s laid-back and do what makes you happy
attitude, with the zeal to protect people like his mother. As a child, Jageris
was always nose deep in a book and trying to understand everything around him.
He had an eye for wonder and enjoyed the variety of the world. He was sweet
and considerate, which sometimes landed him on the wrong side of bullies.
Jageris is now more of a “leaf on the wind” until it comes to those
he is close to. For them, he will throw up sword and shield to protect, even
when it means running into odds that are stacked against him. Prone to high
highs, and some depressing lows, Jageris has changed a bit after starting his
own Journey in Iridine. The deaths of former lovers, a string of failed relationships,
and the betrayal by a few he held close and dear has caused this once optimistic
and bright man to become more callous and distrusting. Though he remains outwardly
jovial and sincere, he is much more discerning about who he allows into his
personal life.
