Monlon
A rumor is circulating around:
The Kelestians have invaded Monlon! Assistant governor Vaestia Elavia Santum has been reported dead, and the governor Cascar Olgulan remains missing. Although Iridine's heroes continue to come to their aid, the people of Monlon live in apprehension and take shelter when the fighting spills into the streets. Many speculate as to the reason for this attack, but for now it remains a mystery.
During the period of the monarchy, Iridine expanded, conquering Monlon and warring against both the Aestivan League and Cinera.
The holy center of the region and home to a famed Oracle. It is also the site of the founding of the Cult of Ereal, the state religions of Iridine and Cinera. As such, it is the source of constant strife between Iridine and Cinera. Cinera has recently invaded Iridine for the purpose of claiming the village. Monlon’s main exports, aside from religion, are iron and freshwater fish. The fish in question tend to be about arm-long, silvery lake trout. There are also some fat-looking, yellow-scaled fish called "weeders" that lurk in the thick plants on the bottom of the lake. They are delicious when stuffed with slices of apple.
Monlon is protected by its local force of Monlon Vigiles as well as the Monlon Volunteer Guard, both of whom have a headquarters in the city.
The current interim governor is Paprius Aketoros, who was appointed after the current governor (Cascar Olgulan) went missing & the assistant governor (Vaestia Elavia Santum) was reported slain during the Kelestian invasion.
