Sharonpa offers 'Discounted Stock' by selling mystery boxes, whose contents are completely random. Mystery boxes have random items which are typically, but not limited to, items that previously not sell in the normal rotation of other merchants in the House Of Mercantile. These mystery boxes occasionally go on sale at a reduced price and are announced in thoughts.

Store Credit

Mystery box purchases can be returned for store credit by putting them into the large opening in the hallway north of Sharonpa. This includes all items found within a mystery box as well as the empty mystery box itself.

Dropping an item, or a box of items, into the opening will prompt you something like the below:

The items you're offering up are worth one talent, nine hundred ninety-three denars in trade-in value.
Do you accept? (Y/N)

From there, you can choose 'Y' or 'N' to return it for store credit or not. Hint: Sometimes shopkeepers will pay more for an item than would have been redeemed for store credit.
