One Handed Crushing

The Iridine short mace is a single piece of bronze, or rarely iron, about sixteen inches long. The last four inches are a roughly spherical piece of metal. The sphere often has studs or spikes to make it more dangerous to human flesh. This metal cudgel is favored for its concealability, being as easy to stash under a loose tunic as a long knife and much better for a non-lethal assault. A few years ago gladiators began using these maces as backup weapons, too, because it's easy to carry one in case you lose your main weapon, and because the crowd likes to see such "interesting" variety. Small maces and clubs have also been popular among street thugs and the like, relying less upon skill and more upon brute strength and surprise.
Other cultures, primarily primitive ones, have been known to use clubs extensively. Simple to use and easy to craft, the war club is an effective weapon from a nation lacking in technical expertise. The Blackroot have been known to use this weapon most extensively, though their large two-handed clubs are often used in a different manner than their smaller Iridine cousins. The spiked club is known to deal punctures rather than bruises.

Club Round Strike

Usage: Round <target>

The wielder swings, shifting his grip and making the strike end of the weapon circle a bit. If it succeeds, it is a normal attack- save that it's much easier to block. If it is blocked, then a second attack is made instantly, the weapon revolving around the blocking weapon. This "second chance" attack has half normal effectiveness, but against someone who'se good at blocking can be much better than nothing. This can be aimed as well, which is a good thing, since the attack is pretty weak.

When you see this in use you see:

A man in a hooded cloak swings at a thug, shifting his grip and making the striking end of his club circle a bit, but misses.

A man in a hooded cloak's club quickly revolves around his defenses to strike a second time! He suffers a small bruise to his waist.

Club Leg Strike

Usage: Legstrike <target>

The wielder aims a vicious lateral blow at the opponent's lower legs. If the maneuver succeeds, little damage is inflicted but there is a chance of tripping the opponent (defender's agility may counter this, the opponent is knocked down only if the roll is 30 over the success). The higher the strength of the character, the greater the effectiveness). This attack is much like Staves or Spears Sweep, except that it can cause quite a bit of damage (despite the official description), and doesn't always knock the person down. I like this one quite a bit.

When you see this in use you see:

In a vicious lateral blow, a man in a hooded cloak aims his club towards a thug in a powerful low strike but fails to hit.

In a vicious lateral blow, a man in a hooded cloak aims his club towards a thug in a powerful low strike! A thug suffers a bruise to his left foot. A man in a hooded cloak knocks a thug sprawling with a powerful strike to the ankle!

Club Knock Aside

Usage: Knockaside <target>

When you see this in use you see:

Aiming for his weapon hand, a man in a hooded cloak directs his club towards a thug and hits! It suffers a bruise to its right hand. A man in a hooded cloak knocks a thug's weapon to the side and upsets its stance!

[Cross Block]

Club Cross Block

Usage: (Passive)

Essentially the same as crossblocks with various other weapons, the wielder moves the club across the field where the weapons clash, knocking a strike aside. More effective than a simple block with this weapon. Defends against slashing attacks to the midsection.

When you see this in use you see:
Swinging his club towards a thug's tin dagger, a man in a hooded cloak knocks the attack harmlessly aside!

Club Upswing

Usage: Upswing <target>

A slightly more difficult bashing maneuver, but reversed. Swinging the club down and bashing upwards.
