Organization Perks
Taken from Organizations Perks help file .
Each Recognized Organization will get 1 Guild Credit (CG) per month. One additional credit (up to a total of 3 credits per month) will be earned per month by each *active* premium account member in the guild. Active denotes a member who shows up for the majority of meetings, shows up for events, and in general has logged in and played recently. A recognized organization can purchase one 'item' per month. The request for a service should be submitted by the first of the month. If the request isn't in by then, they will have to wait until the next month. Note that in some cases (building, and guards) you can get more than one item on the list per month; however, it may take longer than a month to finalize and build it all. This means that for a building, you could save up for the hall, additions, planting a garden, extra keys, and an event to open it. All those things would happen at once, but, again, it could take longer than one month to finish.
In order to stay recognized an Organization must maintain regular meetings and a minimum of 10 members, at least 2 of which must be premium account holders. A group shall be considered inactive if they cease to hold weekly meetings, if two or more of their premium account holders leave the guild or become inactive and are not replaced, or if they dip below 10 active members. If they become inactive, a fee of 1000 rps shall be charged for reactivation. Reactivating an organization will only be allowed when there are no substantive changes in the purpose of the organization.
Recognized organizations have the opportunity to have GM assistance on certain occasions. While the following list is what is currently available, we are open to suggestions for other perks.
Organizational Item - 3 credits
* An additional fee of 1 GC per hour of coding time will be charged for items requiring coding. *
Organizational items help you run your organization. They can be a number of things, but are only one item (this differs from the identifying item). Note that there will be ic costs associated with the item. Some examples of organizational items would be:
- A piece of furniture
- A flag to fly over your building
- A strong box
- Donation/Suggestion/Submission box
- Something else you think of and your sponsor agrees to
Identifying item - 9 credits
Identifying items are things that would you want for every member in the group. While generally these are such things as organizational rings, armor, pin, etc; they can also be such things as a key for a lock or a sack. You can get up to 25 of these items, and there will be IC costs associated with the item.
Organizational Event - 3 credits
(includes one GMNPC)
* An additional charge of 1 GC will be charged for each additional GMNPC involved in the event and for every hour of coding involved in setting up the event. *
Organizations can request that their sponsor(s) run an event for them. Organizational events can be anything from a murder investigation to a traveling engraver helping them make some of their jewelry a bit more personal. Note that these have to be arranged with your sponsor(s) by the first of the month. Generally you will need a couple of weeks notice. Events don't include getting a whole bunch of free stuff. Also, you will have to have a reasonable explanation for why your group would have access to, say, someone who has poisons. If you are a law-abiding group, this probably won't happen. If you aren't a law-abiding group, it might, but you may have to have a couple of events to make the appropriate contacts. And, then, the poison would cost a lot and depending on your actions toward your contact, you might not get it.
Organizational Building - 18 credits
You can build an organizational hall for your group. This will be a 40x40 building with a maximum of 4 rooms. The building will be unfurnished and in a condition commensurate with the location and price you paid. Later on your can improve the appearance if you would like or customize some of it to go with your group's theme. Note that these are expensive ICly, too. You can save up credits and have makeovers, additions, and items made for your hall at the same time. The rooms can be either outside or inside. Building locations will have to be approved by your sponsor.
Organizational Forum - 9 credits
You can get a forum that is accessible from the Welcome Room (such as the news forum) for your organization. Only members of your organization will have access to the forum, so, you can add and remove people from the access list.
Hall Expansion - 6 credits
A hall expansion can either be on the same level as your current hall, above your current hall, or below it. On the same level is only available if there is physical room. Additions are 10x10 rooms. Note that you can save your credits and spend them on a larger addition if you would like to. There will be IC costs associated with this kind of building. The rooms can be both outside and inside rooms.
- 6 credits for a 10x10 room
- 12 credits for 20x20 room
- 24 credits for 40x40 room
- 48 credits for 80x80 room
Practice Dummy - 6 credits
You can purchase a practice dummy for your organization; however, you can only purchase one after you have a hall to put it in. They will work just like the public practice dummies.
Archery Target - 6 credits
Archery targets must also go inside of a hall. They will work as the normal archery targets open for public use.
NPC Helper - 10 credits
* An additional cost of 1 GC per hour of coding involved in set-up will be charged. *
NPC helpers are just what you'd think they might be: guards, clerks, cooks, etc. You need a hall in order to get an NPC helper, and once you have one, the leader of the org will have to pay monthly upkeep holdings for them. This will vary with what they do. You will need to discuss what you'd like them for with your sponsor in order to determine if it is possible. Also, there will be an initial IC cost for procuring your help. This, too, depends on their level of competence and what they do.
NPC trainers will not fall under this category but will be available through the @org menu.
Building Description Improvement - 3 credit/room
You basically are improving what the room looks like, what the floor is made of, and what the ceilings look like. Grime can be cleared out, etc. The building itself can be painted, but the basic building material can't change. If you change what the building looks like that would count as one improvement. Again, you can save up and do this at the time the building/room is built. Note that there are IC costs associated with this.
