Sling Guide

Sling Guide

Below you'll find everything important to know about using Slings.

In a Nutshell

Pros

  • Can attack from short range, long range or missile range.
  • Missile weapon that can benefit from the added defense from wielding a shield.

Cons

  • More difficult to train than most other combat skills. Not recommended to newer players as a starting skill.
  • There's no auto-loading, you must always manually load your sling before every shot.
  • Loading your sling requires fatigue and tires you.
  • You can only buy the good bullets from the Kelestian Outpost. To do this, you must perfect the Kelestian language so you can trade gemstones for the ammo.
  • If your opponent has a half-decent defense, you likely can't land any hits against them, except with Clobber.
  • Clobber can only be used when your loaded bullet has enough weight. Sling stones are not heavy enough to use Clobber.
  • There is no utility with the throws. They are all basic attacks that are easy to block.
  • Sling attacks can often be blocked by weapon blocks, unlike archery.
  • You will only retain 80% of your bullets when throwing.
  • A shield is required with slings to be seriously viable.
